Radial styloid fracture
Radial styloid fractures are usually caused by falling on the palm of the hand, which violently hits the lower end of the radius along the scaphoid bone; or when the crank handle of a car engine is turned over and hits the radial styloid, so it is also called crank handle fracture. The fracture line is often horizontal, involving the radiocarpal joint, and the fracture fragments are usually not displaced.
