Prurigo
Prurigo is a general term for a group of acute or chronic inflammatory skin diseases. It is an itchy skin disease that often occurs on the extensor side of the limbs. Skin lesions are mostly isolated papules or nodules, which leave pigmentation after healing, and there is severe itching at the local lesions. The course of the disease is chronic, sometimes not healing for months or years. Prurigo has different names and no consistent classification method. Due to different clinical manifestations, this book divides prurigo into pediatric prurigo, common prurigo, nodular prurigo, prurigo gravidarum and prurigo pruriticum.
