Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome-related lymphoma mainly occurs in late-stage AIDS patients, whose peripheral blood CD4 cells are often lower than 100/mL. Therefore, the occurrence of lymphoma is mainly related to the severity and duration of the patient's cellular immune function deficiency. AIDS-related lymphoma is more common in whites than in blacks, suggesting that its onset is related to genetic factors.
