Salt-sensitive hypertension
Salt-sensitive hypertension can be defined as an increase in blood pressure caused by relatively high salt intake. Salt intake is an important environmental factor for hypertension, but individuals within a population show different blood pressure responses to salt loading or reduced salt intake, which is a problem of salt sensitivity.
