Traumatic asphyxia syndrome
Traumatic asphyxia syndrome refers to a group of symptoms in which the chest and upper abdomen are suddenly and severely squeezed, causing respiratory arrest reflexively and red-purple or bluish-purple changes in the skin of the face, neck, and upper chest.
