Aseptic costochondritis
Aseptic costochondritis is a non-specific, non-suppurative costochondritis lesion, which is more common in clinical practice. The main clinical manifestation is localized pain in the costal cartilage. If the painful area is swollen, it is called Tietze's disease. Tietze first reported this disease in 1921, so it is called Tietze's disease. Aseptic costochondritis is more common in young people, especially women. There is often a history of respiratory infection before the onset of the disease. The lesions often invade a single costal cartilage. The affected costal cartilage is enlarged and raised, and the local tenderness is obvious, but there is no epidermal redness and heat sign during bacterial infection.
