Olecranon fracture
Olecranon fracture is a common injury of the elbow, which is more common in adults. Except for a few avulsion fractures of the tip of the olecranon, in most cases, the fracture line involves intra-articular fractures of the semilunar articular surface. Due to the contraction of the elbow flexor and extensor muscles, the fracture is prone to separation and displacement. Therefore, during treatment, restoring the normal anatomical alignment of the articular surface and firmly fixing the early joint movement are important measures to obtain good function. If the articular surface is not aligned, it may cause traumatic arthritis in the future, leading to joint pain and limited function.
