Phlegm poison
Phlegm poison belongs to the category of carbuncle, which means that the qi and blood are blocked by the evil phlegm poison. There are different names for it because of the different sites of disease. For example, the one under the jaw is called cheek carbuncle, the one under the earlobe and behind the mandibular angle is called ear root poison, and the one on both sides of the neck is called neck carbuncle, etc. This disease is a common surgical disease in children, equivalent to acute lymphadenitis in modern medicine.
