Acute cerebellar ataxia in children
Acute cerebellar ataxia is a syndrome unique to the childhood period with cerebellar ataxia as the main manifestation. Normal voluntary movement requires the coordinated contraction of several groups of muscles. This ingenious coordinated movement between muscles is called coordinated movement or coordinated movement. Coordinated movement requires the participation of deep sensory, vestibular, cerebellar and extrapyramidal systems with complete functions. Movement coordination disorders caused by damage to any of the above parts are called ataxia. Ataxia caused by damage to different parts has different characteristics, such as sensory, vestibular, cerebellar and cerebral ataxia. According to the different causes, it can be divided into acute cerebellar ataxia, congenital metabolic abnormality ataxia and hereditary ataxia.
