Pigmented purpuric dermatitis
Pigmented purpuric dermatosis is a group of chronic skin diseases characterized by purpuric papules and hemosiderin deposition. Pigmented purpuric lichenoid dermatitis is common in middle-aged and elderly people, more common in men than in women. The skin lesions are small rust-colored lichenoid papules, accompanied by purpuric lesions, purple-red or purple-brown, which can merge into unclear patches with a few scales on the surface and petechiae on the edges. It is common in the calves and can also develop upward to the thighs, buttocks, waist and upper limbs. It is often accompanied by varying degrees of itching. The course of the disease is chronic and can last for months to years.
