Primary retinal detachment
Primary retinal detachment is a common clinical disease. The male patients are more than the female patients at a ratio of about 3:2. Most of them are adults over 30 years old. It is rare in children under 10 years old. There are differences between the left and right eyes. The incidence of both eyes is about 15% of the total number of patients. It is more common in myopia, especially high myopia.
