Complications of cataract
Complicated cataract refers to the abnormality of local epithelial or internal metabolism of the lens caused by local eye lesions, or the erosion of the lens by the inflammation and degeneration products produced by local lesions, resulting in lens opacity. In essence, any cataract caused by systemic or local eye lesions should be considered complicated cataract. The morphological characteristics of lens opacity are related to the primary disease.
