Retroperitoneal fibrosis
Retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) was first reported and used by French urologist Albrran in 1905. It was not until Ormond reported two cases of retroperitoneal fibrosis in 1948 that case reports of this disease gradually increased and it was recognized by more and more clinicians. The pathological changes of this disease are characterized by the proliferation of retroperitoneal fibrous tissue and extensive retroperitoneal fibrosis. The clinical manifestations are closely related to the degree of compression of retroperitoneal tissue or organs (such as ureters).
