Oxcarbazepine
Oxcarbazepine is structurally a derivative of carbamazepine; used for the treatment of partial seizures in epileptic children and adults

Compared with carbamazepine, it contains an extra oxygen atom to the benzylcarboxamide group, reducing the impact on the liver of metabolizing the drug, and also preventing the serious forms of anemia occasionally associated with carbamazepine, further reducing potential side effects, it is thought to have the same mechanism as carbamazepine - so
