Diltiazem Hydrochloride Controlled Release Capsules
Cis-()-5-[2(2-dimethylamino)ethyl]-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-acetoxy-2,3-dihydro-1,5-benzothiazepin-4(5H)-one hydrochloride
Name Description Content CAS NO. Registered Holders
Diltiazem hydrochloride

This product is a slow channel blocker. It combines with the slow channel in phase 2 of the action potential to prevent calcium ions from entering the cell. It mainly acts selectively on vascular smooth muscle, dilates coronary arteries and collateral vessels, increases coronary flow, thereby improving blood flow in the ischemic area and limiting the expansion of the scope of myocardial infarction; it can dilate peripheral blood vessels, lower blood pressure, reduce cardiac load, reduce cardiac work and oxygen consumption, and improve myocardial energy metabolism, but the negative inotropic effect is slight at therapeutic doses. Diltiazem hydrochloride has a non-competitive antagonistic effect on vasoactive substances such as catecholamines, acetylcholine, and histamine. In terms of electrophysiology, at therapeutic doses, diltiazem hydrochloride can prolong the effective refractory period and relative refractory period of the atrioventricular node, and prolong the P-R interval and A-H interval.

Diltiazem hydrochloride

This product is a calcium channel blocker, and its action is related to the inhibition of calcium ion influx during myocardial and vascular smooth muscle depolarization. It can effectively dilate the epicardial and subendocardial coronary arteries, relieve spontaneous angina pectoris or angina pectoris caused by coronary artery spasm induced by ergonovine; by slowing down the heart rate and lowering blood pressure, it can reduce myocardial oxygen demand, increase exercise tolerance and relieve exertional angina pectoris. It can relax vascular smooth muscle, reduce peripheral vascular resistance, and lower blood pressure; the extent of its blood pressure reduction is related to the degree of hypertension, and only slightly reduces blood pressure in people with normal blood pressure. It has a negative inotropic effect and can slow down the conduction of the sinoatrial node and atrioventricular node.
