For passive immunization against tetanus, protective antibodies stay in the circulation longer. Intramuscular injection of 250U of this product can maintain the protective level of immunoglobulin (0.01U/ml) for about 4 weeks. It is better than using horse antitoxin for the prevention and treatment of tetanus. Anyone with wounds that are prone to tetanus, who has not completed the initial immunization with tetanus toxoid in the past, or whose immune status is difficult to confirm, or who has completed tetanus vaccination for more than ten years, must use this product for passive immunization.
