Carbocisteine Tablets

This product is a sputum regulator that can affect the secretion of bronchial glands, increase the secretion of low-viscosity salivary mucin, and reduce the production of high-viscosity fucoid mucin, thereby reducing the viscosity of sputum and making it easier to cough up.

Carbocysteine. Its chemical name is: S-(carboxymethyl)-cysteine. Molecular formula: C5H9NO4S Molecular weight: 179.19

This product is white or off-white tablets.

It is used for patients with thick sputum and difficulty in expectoration caused by diseases such as chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and bronchial asthma. It can also be used for non-suppurative otitis media in children, and has a certain effect in preventing deafness.

Oral administration: Adults: 1 tablet each time, 3 times a day; Children: 10 mg/kg each time, 3 times a day, or as directed by a physician.

Occasionally, there may be adverse reactions such as mild dizziness, nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding, and rash.

It is contraindicated for patients with active peptic ulcer.

Precautions for children: Safety for children under 2 years old has not been determined. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly:
