The tangerine peel, dried tangerine peel, bitter almond, trichosanthes peel, pinellia, aster, platycodon, rhizoma anemarrhenae, coltsfoot and other ingredients in this preparation all have antitussive and expectorant effects. Studies on tangerine peel have confirmed that the polysaccharides contained in tangerine peel have a significant antitussive effect on mice with ammonia-induced cough. The phenol red method test on mice also proves that tangerine peel polysaccharides have a strong expectorant effect.
