Function and Efficacy
The anti-ulcer components of licorice can increase the "glycosamine" component of gastric mucosal cells, improve the defense of gastric mucosa, prolong the life of gastric epithelial cells, and accelerate the healing of ulcers; zinc also has the effect of promoting mucosal regeneration and accelerating the healing of ulcers.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is a zinc-containing drug that is a combination of an active ingredient extracted from the root of the legume plant licorice and zinc.

Appearance
This product is a capsule with brown contents.
Indication
Used for growth retardation, malnutrition, anorexia, pica, oral ulcers and acne caused by zinc deficiency.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration. Under 1 year old: 40 mg (about 1/6 tablet) once, twice a day; 1-3 years old: 80 mg (about 1/3 tablet) once, 2-3 times a day; 3-5 years old: 160 mg (about 2/3 tablet) once, 2-3 times a day; 5-10 years old: 240 mg (about 1 tablet) once, 3 times a day; over 10 years old: 250 mg (1 tablet) once, 3 times a day. Take after meals.
Adverse Reactions
1. Zinc preparations are gastrointestinal irritants. Oral administration may cause mild nausea, vomiting and constipation. Taking 0.2-2g can induce vomiting. 2. When treating gastric ulcers, some individuals may experience potassium excretion, sodium retention and mild edema, which may disappear after stopping the medication.
Precautions
1. Patients who are allergic to this product are prohibited from using this product. 2. Patients with acute or active gastrointestinal ulcers are prohibited from using this product.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant and lactating women generally need to supplement zinc, but the dosage should be in accordance with the doctor's advice. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
Drug Interactions
1. Zinc is incompatible with aluminum, calcium, strontium, borax, carbonates and hydroxides (alkali), silver protein and tannic acid. 2. Zinc combined with penicillamine can reduce the effect of the latter.
