Bismuth Potassium Citrate Capsules

Function and Efficacy

This product is a gastric mucosal protective agent. Under gastric acid conditions, it forms a diffuse protective layer covering the ulcer surface, preventing gastric acid, enzymes and food from invading the ulcer, and promoting the regeneration of the ulcer mucosa and the healing of the ulcer. This product also has the effects of reducing the activity of pepsin, increasing mucin secretion, and promoting the release of PGE2 from the mucosa, thereby protecting the gastric mucosa. In addition, this product has a killing effect on Helicobacter pylori (Hp), thus promoting the healing of gastritis.

Ingredients

The main ingredient of this product is bismuth tripotassium dicitrate.

Appearance

Capsules containing white powder.

Indication

Used for chronic gastritis and to relieve stomach pain, burning sensation and acid reflux caused by excessive gastric acid.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration: Adults take 2 capsules at a time, 4 times a day, the first 3 times half an hour before meals, the fourth time 2 hours after dinner; or take 2 times a day, 4 capsules each morning and evening.

Adverse Reactions

This drug is relatively safe at normal doses and within the medication cycle, but general adverse reactions may also occur: (1) Digestive system: While taking this drug, there may be an ammonia smell in the mouth, and the tongue coating and stool may become gray-black, which can be easily confused with black stool symptoms; some patients may experience nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation and other symptoms when taking the drug. The above symptoms may disappear on their own after stopping the drug. (2) Nervous system: A small number of patients may experience mild headaches, dizziness, insomnia, etc., but they can be tolerated. (3) Others: Some patients may develop a rash. Long-term use of large doses may cause the following adverse reactions: (1) When the blood concentration is greater than 100ng/ml, it may cause bismuth encephalopathy; (2) Urinary system: Long-term use of this drug may cause renal toxicity; (3) Bones and muscles: Bones

Precautions

This product is contraindicated for use by those who are allergic to any component of the product, those with severe liver or kidney damage, and pregnant or lactating women.

Drug Interactions

1. Milk and antacids can interfere with the effect of this product and should not be taken at the same time. 2. Taking it with tetracycline will affect the latter's absorption. 3. Storage

Keep away from light, tightly closed and in a dry place.
