Azithromycin Glucose Injection
Function and Efficacy
Azithromycin inhibits the synthesis of bacterial proteins through the bacterial transpeptidation process. In vitro tests have shown that azithromycin has antibacterial effects on a variety of common clinical pathogens, including: Gram-positive aerobic bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, (Group A β-hemolytic streptococci), Streptococcus pneumoniae, α-hemolytic streptococci (grass viridans streptococcus group) and other streptococci, diphtheria (rod-shaped) bacilli. This product shows cross-resistance to erythromycin-resistant Gram-positive bacteria, including fecal streptococci (enterococci) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strains. Gram-negative aerobic bacteria: Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Acinetobacter, Yersinia, Legionella pneumophila, Bordetella pertussis, Bordetella parapertussis, Shigella, Pasteurella, Vibrio cholerae, Parahaemolyticus, Shigella-like Pyrimonas. The activity of this product against the following Gram-negative bacteria depends on the strain and requires sensitivity testing: Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Enterobacter, Hydrophila, Klebsiella. Anaerobic bacteria: Bacteroides fragilis, Bacteroides, Clostridium perfringens, Peptostreptococcus, Fusobacterium necroticum, Propionibacterium acnes. Sexually transmitted disease microorganisms: Treponema pallidum, gonorrhea, Haemophilus dukei. Other microorganisms: including Borrelia tenella (Lyme pathogen), Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Chlamydia trachomatis, Pneumocystis carinii, Mycobacterium avium, Campylobacter, Listeria monocytogenes. The following Gram-negative bacteria are usually resistant: Proteus, Salmonella, Morganella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Indication
It is suitable for acute pharyngitis and acute tonsillitis caused by purulent streptococci, acute bronchitis and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis caused by sensitive bacteria; pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, influenza bacillus and Mycoplasma pneumoniae; urethritis and cervicitis caused by chlamydia; pelvic inflammatory disease caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and gonorrhea; and skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria.
Usage and Dosage
Slow intravenous drip, the drip time is not less than 1 hour. The adult dosage is 0.5g each time, once a day, for at least 2 consecutive days.
Adverse Reactions
1. The adverse reactions of this product are: 1. Gastrointestinal reactions: diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, loose stools, vomiting, etc.; 2. Local reactions: pain at the injection site, local inflammation, etc.; 3. Skin allergies: rash, itching, etc.; 4. Other reactions: such as anorexia, dizziness, dyspnea, etc.; 2. This product may also cause the following reactions: 1. Digestive system: indigestion, gastrointestinal flatulence, mucositis, oral candidiasis, gastritis, etc.; 2. Nervous system: headache, drowsiness; 3. Allergic reactions: bronchospasm, etc.; 4. Other reactions: abnormal taste, etc.; 5. Laboratory tests: increased serum ALT, creatinine, bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase, decreased white blood cell, neutrophil and platelet counts.
Precautions
It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to azithromycin, damicycline or any other macrolide drugs.
Drug Interactions
Aluminum- or tinea-containing antacids can reduce the peak plasma concentration of oral azithromycin preparations, but not the AUC value. Oral azithromycin does not affect theophylline levels or pharmacokinetics in plasma after a single intravenous dose of theophylline. Given that currently used macrolides can increase theophylline concentrations, caution should be exercised when azithromycin and theophylline are used simultaneously, and plasma theophylline levels should be monitored. Oral azithromycin affects the response time of prothrombin to a single dose of benzylpropionate. However, caution should be exercised when azithromycin and benzylpropionate are used simultaneously in patients, and attention should be paid to monitoring the prothrombin time. Therefore, in clinical practice, the simultaneous use of the macrolide benzylpropionate will increase the efficacy of anticoagulants. Close observation of patients is recommended when azithromycin is used simultaneously with the following drugs: Digoxin - increases digoxin levels. Ergotamine or dihydroergotamine - symptoms of acute ergot toxicity are severe peripheral vasospasm and paresthesia (touch pain). Triazolam - the pharmacodynamic effect of triazolam is enhanced by reducing the degradation of triazolam. Drugs metabolized by the cytochrome P450 system - increase the levels of carbamazepine, terfenadine, cyclosporine, cyclohexylbarbital, phenytoin, etc. in serum.
