Vitamin B6 tablets

Vitamin B6 is converted into pyridoxal phosphate in red blood cells and acts as a coenzyme in various metabolic functions of proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids. Vitamin B6 is also involved in the conversion of tryptophan into niacin or 5-hydroxytryptamine.

Each tablet of this product contains 10 mg of vitamin B6, the main ingredient, and the auxiliary materials are starch, dextrin and magnesium stearate.

This product is white tablets.

1. Applicable for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency (vitamin B6 deficiency can cause xanthine aciduria, sideroblastic anemia, nervous system lesions, seborrheic dermatitis and chapped lips), prevention and treatment of isoniazid poisoning; can also be used for radiation sickness during pregnancy and vomiting and seborrheic dermatitis caused by anticancer drugs. 2. Vitamin B6 supplementation for total parenteral nutrition and malnutrition caused by insufficient intake and progressive weight loss. 3. Treatment of infantile convulsions or administration to pregnant women to prevent infantile convulsions. 4. Leukopenia.

Oral administration: Adults, 1-2 tablets per day; children, 0.5-1 tablet per day, for 3 consecutive weeks.

Vitamin B6 is almost non-toxic when renal function is normal. If 200 mg is taken daily for more than 30 days, vitamin B6 dependence syndrome has been reported. 2 to 6 g of vitamin B6 taken daily for several months can cause severe neurosensory abnormalities, progressive gait instability, numbness of the feet, and inflexibility of the hands, which can be relieved after stopping the drug, but still weak.

Precautions for children: Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women taking large amounts of vitamin B6 may cause vitamin B6 dependence syndrome in newborns. The normal intake of breastfeeding mothers will have no adverse effects on infants. Precautions for the elderly:

1. The combination of low-dose vitamin B6 (5 mg per day) and levodopa can reduce the efficacy of the latter in treating Parkinson's disease. However, if the preparation contains decarboxylase inhibitors such as carbidopa, it has no effect on levodopa. 2. Chloramphenicol, hydralazine hydrochloride, isoniazid, penicillamine and immunosuppressants including glucocorticoids, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine and other drugs can antagonize vitamin B6 or enhance the excretion of vitamin B6 through the kidneys, and may even cause anemia or peripheral neuritis. 3. The dosage of vitamin B6 should be increased when taking estrogen, because estrogen can reduce the activity of vitamin B6 in the body. 4.
