Puerarin for injection

This product is a flavonoid glycoside extracted from the root of Pueraria lobata or Pueraria lobata, a leguminous plant. It is a vasodilator that can dilate coronary arteries and cerebral blood vessels, reduce myocardial oxygen consumption, improve microcirculation and inhibit platelet aggregation. According to literature reports, animal experiments have shown that: (1) the various total flavonoid compounds in Pueraria root have the effect of relaxing smooth muscles, while the contractile components may be substances such as choline, acetylcholine and carbazine R; (2) Pueraria root has a certain antihypertensive effect on normal and hypertensive animals; (3) Pueraria root total flavonoids and puerarin have a significant dilating effect on coronary arteries, which can dilate normal and spastic coronary arteries. After venous flow of 30 mg/kg, coronary blood flow can increase by 40% and vascular resistance can be reduced by 29%; (4) Puerarin can also inhibit the release of 5-HT in platelets induced by thrombin. The LD50 of this product injected intravenously and intraperitoneally in mice is 634.3 mg/kg and 1412.2 mg/kg respectively. Long-term animal toxicology experiments show that this product has no cumulative toxicity and no obvious toxicity to the heart, liver, lungs, spleen, kidneys, etc. Mutagenicity tests show that this product has no mutagenic activity. Teratogenicity tests show that this product has no teratogenic effect on female rat embryos, male and female rat embryos, and male rat germ cells.

The main ingredient of this product is puerarin.

This product is white or slightly yellow lump or powder.

Puerarin for injection is suitable for the treatment of coronary heart disease, various types of angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, retinal artery and vein occlusion, and sudden deafness.

Before use, dissolve it with 5% glucose injection or sodium chloride injection, dilute it, and drip it intravenously. When used for cardiovascular diseases, the usual dosage is 400-600 mg/time, once a day, and 10-15 days as a course of treatment; when used for retinal artery and vein occlusion and sudden deafness, the usual dosage is 200-400 mg/time, once a day, and 10-20 days as a course of treatment. It can be used continuously for 2-3 courses of treatment.

This drug is a compound containing phenolic hydroxyl groups. When it comes into contact with alkali, the solution turns yellow and forms complexes with metal ions. Therefore, during use, it should not be placed in alkaline solution for a long time and should avoid contact with metal ions.
