1. Pharmacology This product is made from the extract of Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae through esterification, dehydration and salt formation. It can inhibit the early increase of capillary permeability, inflammatory exudation and edema, can specifically excite the pituitary-adrenal cortex function, promote ACTH release, and increase the biosynthesis of ACTH in the anterior pituitary; it has the effect of inactivating adenovirus, influenza virus, respiratory virus and other viruses in vitro. Animal experiments have anti-early and mid-pregnancy effects. 2. Toxicology The LD50 of intravenous and intraperitoneal injections of this product are 600plusmn; 20mg/kg and 675plusmn; 30mg/kg respectively. The product was injected intraperitoneally into rats at doses of 36 and 84mg/kg, once a day, for 10 consecutive days. The results showed that at the above doses, this product had no significant effect on animal growth, appetite, coat color, activity, liver and kidney function, and major organ pathology, and was safe.
