Testosterone Propionate Injection
Function and Efficacy
Androgen drugs. This product is a lactate of testosterone. It has the same effects as testosterone and methyltestosterone, but the effect of intramuscular injection is longer-lasting. It can promote the development and maturation of male organs and secondary sexual characteristics. In large doses, it has an anti-androgenic effect, inhibits the growth of the endometrium and the function of the ovaries and pituitary gland. It also promotes protein synthesis and bone formation. The ratio of androgenic effect to protein anabolic effect is 1:1.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is testosterone propionate. Its chemical name is 17β-hydroxyandrost-4-ene-3-one propionate.

Appearance
This product is a colorless or light yellow clear oily liquid.
Indication
(1) Primary or secondary male sexual dysfunction. (2) Male puberty retardation. (3) Palliative treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
Usage and Dosage
1 Common adult dose: Deep intramuscular injection (1) Hormone replacement therapy for male hypogonadism: 25-50 mg once, 2-3 times a week. (2) Advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women: 50-100 mg once, 3 times a week. (3) Functional uterine bleeding: Use with progesterone: 25-50 mg once, once a day, for a total of 3-4 times. 2 Common childhood dose: Delayed male puberty: 12.5-25 mg once, 2-3 times a week, for a course of no more than 4-6 months.
Adverse Reactions
(1) Pain, nodules, infection and urticaria may occur at the injection site. (2) Large doses may cause virilization in women, testicular atrophy and sperm reduction in men. (3) Edema, jaundice and abnormal liver function. (4) Rash.
Precautions
Those who have allergic reactions should stop taking the drug immediately. Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction, pregnant women and prostate cancer are prohibited from using the drug.
Special Population Medication
Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated for use during pregnancy.
Drug Interactions
When used in combination with oral anticoagulants, it can enhance the effects of oral anticoagulants and even cause bleeding; when used in combination with insulin, it has a synergistic effect on protein assimilation.
