Function and Efficacy

Antibacterial drug. It is relatively stable against the β-lactamase produced by Staphylococcus aureus, so it has a strong antibacterial effect against Gram-positive bacteria; it is unstable against the β-lactamase produced by Gram-negative bacteria, so it has a weaker effect against Gram-negative bacteria, and is ineffective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and anaerobic bacteria.

Appearance

This product is a capsule, and the contents are off-white or slightly yellow powder.

Indication

It is mainly used for respiratory system, urinary system, ENT, skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria.

Usage and Dosage

This product is suitable for oral administration on an empty stomach. The usual dosage for adults is 0.25g once, 3 times a day. In case of severe infection, the dosage can be doubled, but the total daily dosage should not exceed 4g, or follow the doctor's advice. Children are generally given 20mg/kg per day according to body weight, divided into 3 times. In severe infection, the dosage can be increased to 40mg/kg, but the total daily dosage should not exceed 1g.

Adverse Reactions

1 Gastrointestinal: diarrhea, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, etc. 2 Allergic reactions: urticaria, rash, eosinophilia, vulvar itching. 3 Others: mild increase in aminotransferase, plasma urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine (Cr), proteinuria, casts, etc.

Precautions

1 This product has cross-allergic reactions with penicillins or cephamycins, so it should be used with caution in patients who are allergic to penicillins, penicillin derivatives, penicillamine and cephamycins. 2 Use with caution in patients with renal impairment and liver damage. 3 Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially ulcerative colitis, localized enteritis or antibiotic-related colitis. 4 Long-term use of this product can cause dysbacteriosis and secondary infection. 5 Interference with laboratory test indicators: Antiglobulin (Coombs) test may be positive; copper sulfate urine sugar test may be false positive, but glucose enzyme test method is not affected; serum alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase and blood urea nitrogen may increase; serum and urine creatinine values may be falsely increased when using Jaffe reaction. 6 This product should be taken orally on an empty stomach because food can delay its absorption. Milk does not affect the absorption of this product.

Special Population Medication

Precautions for children: Not for use in newborns and premature infants. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.

Drug Interactions

1. Furosemide, ethacrynic acid, bumetanide and other strong diuretics, carmustine, streptozocin and other antineoplastic drugs and aminoglycoside antibiotics and other nephrotoxic drugs combined with this product may increase nephrotoxicity. 2. Clavulanic acid can enhance the antibacterial activity of this product against certain Gram-negative bacteria that are resistant to this product due to the production of lactamase. 3. Oral administration of probenecid can delay the excretion of this product.

Keep in a dark, sealed and cool dry place. Valid for 2 years.
