Heparin Sodium Lozenges
Function and Efficacy
Symptoms of early overdose include bleeding from mucous membranes and wounds, bleeding from gums when brushing teeth, skin ecchymoses or purpura, epistaxis, excessive menstruation, etc. In severe cases, there are signs of internal bleeding, manifested as abdominal pain, abdominal distension, back pain, paralytic ileus, hemoptysis, hematuria, bloody stools and persistent headaches. Severe cases may even cause cardiac arrest. Spontaneous bleeding caused by overdose of this product can be rescued by slow intravenous drip of 1% protamine sulfate (each 1 mg of protamine sulfate can neutralize 100Y of heparin sodium).

Usage and Dosage
Take sublingually. Take 1-2 tablets 3 times a day or as directed by your doctor.
Adverse Reactions
A small number of patients may experience fever, rash, itching, conjunctivitis, asthma, precordial urgency, and shortness of breath. Occasionally, transient alopecia, diarrhea, osteoporosis, and spontaneous fractures may occur. Long-term use may sometimes lead to thrombosis, which may be the result of antithrombin III depletion.
Precautions
1. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to heparin. 2. It is contraindicated for those with spontaneous bleeding tendency or slow blood coagulation (such as hemophilia, purpura, thrombocytopenia). 3. It is contraindicated for patients with ulcer disease. 4. It is contraindicated for those with trauma or postpartum hemorrhage. 5. It is contraindicated for patients with severe liver dysfunction.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Not clear yet. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Use with caution in the last trimester of pregnancy or after delivery, as there is an increased risk of maternal bleeding. Precautions for the elderly: Use with caution and follow the doctor's advice on dosage.
