Sulfacetamide sodium eye drops

This product is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. Its mechanism of action is to compete with para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) in the body, inhibit dihydrofolate synthase, and thus hinder the growth and reproduction of bacteria.

The main component of this product is sodium sulfacetamide, and its chemical name is N-(4-aminophenyl)sulfonyl]acetamide sodium salt hydrate. Molecular formula: C8H9N2NaO3SH2O Molecular weight: 254.24

This product is a colorless to light yellow clear liquid.

It is mainly used for the treatment of superficial conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis and trachoma caused by sensitive bacteria. It can also be used to prevent infection in ocular trauma, chronic dacryocystitis, conjunctiva, cornea and intraocular surgery.

Apply inside the eyelids, 1 to 2 drops at a time, 3 to 4 times a day.

It is mainly a local allergic reaction, such as redness and swelling of the eyelids, conjunctiva, eyelid skin, itching, rash, etc.

It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to sulfonamides.
