Function and Efficacy
This product is a bone metabolism regulator that can enter the hydroxyapatite crystals in the bone matrix. When osteoclasts dissolve the crystals, the drug is released, which can inhibit the activity of osteoclasts and indirectly inhibit bone resorption through osteoblasts.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is chlorthalidone. Its chemical name is 5-(2,3-dihydro-1-hydroxy-3-oxo-1H-isoazaindene-1-yl)-2-chlorobenzenesulfonamide.
Indication
Guling is suitable for the treatment of hypercalcemia and osteolysis caused by malignant tumors.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: Patients with malignant tumors: 2.4g per day, divided into 2-3 doses. For patients with normal serum calcium levels, it can be reduced to 1.6g per day. If accompanied by hypercalcemia, it can be increased to 3.2g per day. It must be taken on an empty stomach, preferably 1 hour before meals. Early or all types of osteoporosis without bone pain: 0.4g per day, 3 months as a course of treatment, and the course can be repeated if necessary. Severe or all types of osteoporosis with bone pain: 1.6g per day, divided into two doses, or follow the doctor's advice.
Adverse Reactions
1 In rare cases, dizziness and fatigue may occur, but they often disappear as treatment continues. 2 Adverse reactions such as increased serum lactate dehydrogenase and other liver enzyme levels, leukopenia, and abnormal renal function may sometimes occur.
Precautions
1. Patients who are allergic to this product are prohibited from using this product. 2. Patients with severe renal impairment and osteomalacia are prohibited from using this product.
