Carbocisteine

This product is a mucus regulator, which mainly acts on the secretion of bronchial glands, increasing the secretion of low-viscosity salivary mucin and reducing the production of high-viscosity fucoxomucin, thereby reducing the viscosity of sputum and making it easier to cough up. It takes effect quickly after oral administration, and obvious therapeutic effects can be seen within 4 hours of taking it.

Each tablet of this product contains 250 mg of the main ingredient, carbocysteine. The auxiliary ingredients are: lactose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, starch, sodium carboxymethyl starch, silicon dioxide, and magnesium stearate.

This product is white tablets.

Used to treat patients with thick sputum and difficulty in coughing up sputum caused by diseases such as chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma.

Oral administration: Children aged 2-5 years old: 0.5 tablets at a time, children aged 6-12 years old: 1 tablet at a time, children aged 12 years old and adults: 2 tablets at a time, 3 times a day.

Symptoms may include nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea, mild headache, and rash.

It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer.
