Function and Efficacy
In this prescription, astragalus invigorates qi, radix rehmanniae and pollen nourish yin, and the combination of these three medicines is a commonly used prescription for the clinical treatment of diabetes in traditional Chinese medicine. It is combined with Glyburide, the first choice of the second-generation sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drug in Western medicine. Therefore, Xiaoke Pills can mainly nourish yin and clear heat, invigorate qi and promote fluid production to improve the main symptoms of diabetes, and have a good blood sugar-lowering effect, and alleviate the side effects of Glyburide, such as indigestion and leukopenia.

Appearance
This product is a black coated concentrated pill; it tastes sweet, sour and slightly astringent.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration, take with warm water before meals. 5-10 pills at a time, 2-3 times a day, take with warm water before meals. Or follow the doctor's advice.
Adverse Reactions
The literature reports mainly include: 1. Hypoglycemia reaction, which is caused by delayed meals, strenuous physical activity, or excessive drug dosage, as well as the combined use of some drugs that can increase the occurrence of hypoglycemia (see [Precautions]). After a hypoglycemia reaction occurs, eating or drinking sugar water can usually relieve it. In patients with liver and kidney dysfunction, the elderly and the weak, if the dosage is too large (the general dosage for adult patients may be excessive for the elderly and the weak), it may cause severe hypoglycemia. 2. Drug rash is occasionally seen. 3. Mild nausea, vomiting and other digestive tract reactions are occasionally seen. 4. Rare hair loss.
Precautions
1. Pregnant women and lactating women should not take it. 2. Patients with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes with ketoacidosis, coma, severe burns, infection, severe trauma and major surgery are prohibited from taking it. 3. Patients with liver and kidney dysfunction, those who are allergic to sulfonamide drugs, and those with leukopenia are prohibited from taking it.
