Drug Interactions

Aminoglycosides: In in vitro tests, this product is the same as aminoglycosides and can inactivate aminoglycosides. When this product is used with tobramycin, the area under the curve, renal clearance and urinary excretion of tobramycin will decrease by 11%, 32% and 38% respectively, because piperacillin/tazobactam may inactivate tobramycin. In patients with severe renal insufficiency, such as hemodialysis patients, the pharmacokinetics of tobramycin will change when it is combined with piperacillin. Probenecid: When used in combination with this product, the half-life of piperacillin and tazobactam can be extended. Vancomycin: When this product is used in combination with vancomycin, the pharmacokinetics are not affected. When subcutaneously injecting heparin, oral anticoagulants or other drugs that may affect blood coagulation and platelet function, coagulation function monitoring should be considered. This product cannot be mixed with other drugs in syringes or bottles. When this product is used with other antibiotics, it must be administered separately. This product must not be mixed with solutions containing sodium bicarbonate, and must not be added to blood products or hydrolyzed protein solutions.
