Ubenimex Capsules

This product is a dipeptide compound isolated from the culture medium of Streptomyces (Streptomycesofivorecticuli), which can competitively inhibit aminopeptidase B and leucineamin-Peptidase), enhance the function of cells, enhance the killing activity of natural killer (NK) cells, and increase the synthesis of colony stimulating factors to stimulate the regeneration and differentiation of bone marrow cells. The anti-tumor mechanism of this product is not very clear, and it may interfere with the metabolism of tumor cells, inhibit tumor cell proliferation, cause tumor cell apoptosis, and activate the immune function of human cells, stimulate the production and secretion of cytokines, and promote the production and growth of anti-tumor effector cells.

This product can enhance immune function and is used for adjuvant therapy of anti-cancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy, elderly immune deficiency, etc. It can be used in conjunction with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and in combination with leukemia, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and other solid tumor patients.

Adults: 30 mg per day, orally on an empty stomach in the morning; children: reduce the dosage or follow the doctor's advice. If symptoms are relieved, you can take it 2 to 3 times a week.

Occasionally, there may be rash, itching, headache, facial edema and some gastrointestinal reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and soft stools. Some users may experience an increase in transaminase [AST (GOT) -ALT (GPT)], which is mild and generally disappears during oral administration or after drug discontinuation. Japan conducted statistics on the adverse reactions of 2,164 users of Orbenimex (939 cases in pre-marketing surveys and 1,225 cases in post-marketing surveys). The incidence of adverse reactions and abnormal clinical laboratory test values was about 4.2%, and the incidence of adverse reactions was only 2.3%, mainly due to abnormal liver function damage [AST (GOT) -ALT (GPT)] increased by about 1.8%, skin abnormalities (rash, redness, itching, etc.) about 1.3%, and gastrointestinal abnormalities (nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, etc.) about 0.9%.
