1 This product is a non-steroidal androgen antagonist that competes with androgens for androgen receptors in tumor sites, blocks cell uptake of androgens, and inhibits the binding of androgens to target organs. 2 After binding to androgen receptors, this product forms a receptor complex, enters the cell nucleus, and binds to nuclear proteins, thereby inhibiting tumor cell growth.

The chemical name of this product is: 2-methyl-N-[4-nitro-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]propionamide.

Male breasts become feminized, breast tenderness, sometimes accompanied by galactorrhea, which can disappear if the dose is reduced or the drug is stopped.
