Mitomycin for injection

This product is a non-specific drug for the cell cycle. Mitomycin is most sensitive to the G1 phase of tumor cells, especially the late G1 phase and the early S phase. After enzyme activation in the tissue, it acts like a bifunctional or trifunctional alkylating agent, which can cross-link with DNA, inhibit DNA synthesis, and also has a certain inhibitory effect on RNA and protein synthesis. Subcutaneous injection of 200?g/kg in rats caused death within 60 days, and congestion was found in the liver, kidneys and bone marrow in histology. Mice at 10 to 14 days of pregnancy were given a single intravenous injection of 2.0~10.0mg/kg, and it was found that the surviving fetuses had obvious developmental disorders. The group treated with 7.5mg/kg had deformities such as cleft palate, short tail, micrognathia, and lack of toes.

The main ingredient of this product and its chemical name are: 5-amino-3-carbamoyloxymethyl-2-methoxy-2,3-dihydro-4,7-indolequinone-(1,2)-pyrrolidino-(9,10)-aziridine.

It is mainly suitable for gastric cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, and also for liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, ovarian cancer and cancerous intracavitary effusion.

1 Intravenous injection: 6-8 mg each time, dissolved in sodium chloride injection and injected intravenously, once a week. It can also be 10-20 mg once, and the treatment is repeated every 6-8 weeks. 2 Arterial injection: The dose is the same as intravenous injection. 3 Intracavitary injection: 6-8 mg each time. 4 Combined chemotherapy: FAM (fluorouracil, doxorubicin, mitomycin) is mainly used for gastrointestinal tumors.

1. Bone marrow suppression is the most serious toxicity, which can cause leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. Leukopenia often occurs 28 to 42 days after medication and generally recovers in 42 to 56 days. 2. Nausea and vomiting occur 1 to 2 hours after medication. Vomiting stops within 3 to 4 days, while nausea can last for 2 to 3 days. 3. It is highly irritating to local tissues. If the drug solution leaks out of the blood vessels, it can cause local pain, necrosis and ulcers. 4. Rare side effects include interstitial pneumonia and irreversible renal failure. 5. Heart: The simultaneous use of this product with doxorubicin can increase cardiac toxicity. It is recommended that the total amount of doxorubicin be limited to less than 450 mg/m2 per body surface area.

1. It is contraindicated for patients with varicella or herpes zoster; 2. Live virus vaccination and oral polio vaccine are contraindicated during medication; 3. It is contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women; 4. It should be used with caution by the elderly.

Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant and lactating women are prohibited. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly people should use with caution.

The simultaneous use of mitomycin and doxorubicin may increase cardiac toxicity. It is recommended that the total amount of doxorubicin be limited to less than 450 mg/m2 per body surface area.

Store in a dry, cool and dark place (1-30℃) in a sealed container. Valid for 4 years.
