Potassium Magnesium Aspartate Tablets

Function and Efficacy

Potassium magnesium aspartate is a mixture of potassium aspartate and magnesium aspartate, and is an electrolyte supplement. Magnesium and potassium are important cations in cells, and play an important role in a variety of enzyme reactions and muscle contraction processes. The ratio of potassium ion, calcium ion, sodium ion, and magnesium ion concentrations inside and outside cells affects myocardial contractility. Aspartic acid is a precursor of oxaloacetate in the body and plays an important role in the tricarboxylic acid cycle. At the same time, aspartic acid also participates in the ornithine cycle, promotes the metabolism of ammonia and carbon dioxide, produces urea, and reduces the content of ammonia and carbon dioxide in the blood. Aspartic acid has a strong affinity with cells and can be used as a carrier for potassium and magnesium ions to enter cells, allowing potassium ions to return to cells, promoting cell depolarization and cell metabolism, and maintaining their normal functions.
