Yumei Tablets (Ⅱ)

This product is composed of dextromethorphan and guaifenesin. Dextromethorphan is a central antitussive drug that can inhibit the cough center in the medulla oblongata to produce an antitussive effect. Its antitussive effect is equal to or slightly stronger than that of codeine, and it is non-addictive and non-tolerant when taken for a long time; guaifenesin is an expectorant that can increase the secretion of respiratory glands, dilute sputum, and make it easier to cough up.

Main ingredients: Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 15 mg, guaifenesin 100 mg.

This product is white or off-white tablets.

Used for cough and sputum caused by upper respiratory tract infection, acute bronchitis, etc.

Oral administration: Adults take 1 tablet at a time, 3 times a day.

Symptoms may include dizziness, headache, drowsiness, irritability, belching, loss of appetite, constipation, nausea, skin allergies, etc.

Patients who are allergic to dextromethorphan hydrobromide or guaifenesin are contraindicated. Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase is contraindicated.

Precautions for children: Use with caution or as directed by a doctor for children under 2 years old. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Women in the first 3 months of pregnancy are prohibited. Precautions for the elderly: Use with caution or as directed by a doctor.
