Moxonidine Hydrochloride Tablets

This product is a central antihypertensive drug that selectively stimulates the I1-imidazoline receptor in the rostral ventrolateral nucleus of the medulla oblongata (RVLM). By stimulating the medullary imidazoline receptor, peripheral sympathetic nerve activity is reduced, blood vessels are dilated, and peripheral vascular resistance decreases, thereby lowering blood pressure. The affinity of this product for α2A receptors is weaker than that for I1 imidazoline receptors. Therefore, this product does not slow down the heart rate when lowering blood pressure, and has no obvious central sedative effect.

This product is a film-coated tablet, which appears white after removing the film coating.

Treat high blood pressure.

Adults, oral, initially 0.2 mg once a day; if blood pressure control is not satisfactory after 1 week of medication, it can be increased to 0.4 mg per day, once or twice. The maximum dose per time should not exceed 0.4 mg, and the maximum daily dose should not exceed 0.6 mg.

The following adverse reactions may occur in the early stage of taking this product: dry mouth, headache, dizziness, general weakness, and drowsiness. The above symptoms can usually be relieved after taking the medicine for one week; chest tightness, slow reaction, frequent urination, insomnia, nausea, skin flushing and itching may occasionally occur.

People who are allergic to this product; patients with sick sinus syndrome or sinus bradycardia; pregnant and lactating women.

Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: This product is contraindicated for use by pregnant and lactating women

Taking this product with other antihypertensive drugs can enhance the efficacy of this product. This product should not be taken with tricyclic antidepressants because it can weaken the antihypertensive effect of this product. This product can enhance the effect of sedatives.

Seal and store in a dry place. The validity period is tentatively set at two years.
