It can dilate peripheral blood vessels in patients with hypertension and lower blood pressure. After intravenous injection of this product in patients with congestive heart failure, coronary blood vessels dilate, mean arterial pressure decreases, pulmonary capillary wedge pressure decreases, myocardial oxygen consumption decreases, and cardiac index and stroke volume increase.

Indication
It is suitable for the treatment of patients with acute or hypertensive crisis who need rapid blood pressure reduction and patients with stable heart failure, especially for patients who are in a coma and cannot take oral medication for various reasons. This product does not reduce cerebral blood flow, so it is also suitable for patients who may be in danger of insufficient blood supply to the brain due to a drop in blood pressure.
Usage and Dosage
For intravenous injection, patients with hypertension take 10-40 mg each time, and the effect is most obvious within about 30 minutes; when the dose exceeds 40 mg, the effect is no longer enhanced, but the duration is prolonged. It can also be used 1.25-5 mg, once every 6 hours. For patients with congestive heart failure, it is generally 2.5-5 mg each time, once a day. When the condition is controlled, it is generally switched to oral enalapril for continued treatment. Each 10 mg of this product is approximately equivalent to 20 mg of enalapril.
