Function and Efficacy
This product is an anti-migraine drug with strong anti-5-hydroxytryptamine and anti-histamine effects and weak anti-cholinergic effects. Animals were tested for safety by oral administration of this product, and the median lethal dose LD50 was 880 mg/kg for mice, 1500 mg/kg for rats, and 700 mg/kg for rabbits.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is phenylthiazole, whose chemical name is 1-methyl-4-[9,10-dihydro-4H-benzo[4,5]-cycloheptatriene[1,2-b]-thiophene-4-ylidene]-piperidine.

Appearance
This product is a sugar-coated tablet, which appears white after removing the sugar coating.
Indication
It is mainly used for the prevention and treatment of migraine with and without aura, and can reduce symptoms and the frequency of attacks. It can also be tried for erythromelalgia, angioedema, chronic urticaria, skin scratches, and atrial and ventricular premature beats.
Usage and Dosage
Take orally 0.5-1 mg (1-2 tablets) each time, 1-3 times a day. To reduce drowsiness, take 0.5 mg (1 tablet) every night on the 1st to 3rd day, 0.5 mg (1 tablet) each in the middle and evening on the 4th to 6th day, and 0.5 mg (1 tablet) each in the morning, noon and evening starting from the 7th day. If the condition is basically controlled, the dose can be reduced as appropriate. Reduce by 0.5 mg (1 tablet) per week to an appropriate dose for maintenance. If the number of attacks increases again after the reduction, increase the dose as appropriate.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, fatigue, weight gain, and occasionally nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, flushing, muscle pain, etc. may occur 1 to 2 weeks after taking the medication. The symptoms may be alleviated or disappear with continued medication.
Precautions
It is not recommended for patients with glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy and pregnant women.
Special Population Medication
Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: Do not use if pregnant.
Drug Interactions
This product should not be used in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors and can antagonize the antihypertensive effect of guanethidine.
