Ofloxacin eye ointment

It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and DNA replication. Due to its unique mechanism of action, it has a broad antibacterial spectrum and strong antibacterial activity, and has strong antibacterial effects on both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is effective against infections caused by Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pyogenes, hemolytic Streptococcus, Enterococcus, Pneumococcus, Escherichia coli, Citrobacter, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter, Serratia, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Haemophilus influenzae, Acinetobacter, Campylobacter, and Chlamydia. There is no cross-resistance between this product and other types of antibacterial drugs.

The main ingredient of this product is: ofloxacin.

White or off-white ointment.

It is suitable for the treatment of external eye infections such as bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, corneal ulcers, dacryocystitis, and postoperative infections.

For topical use: Apply to the inner eyelids, 3 times a day, an appropriate amount each time, or as directed by a doctor.

Occasionally there may be transient irritation symptoms, which will not affect the use of the medication.

It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to ofloxacin or other quinolones.

There is no obvious interaction between ofloxacin and anticoagulants. When this product is used together with cefotaxime, metronidazole, clindamycin, cyclosporine, etc., there is no significant change in the pharmacokinetic process of each drug.
