This product decomposes into equimolecular 4-amino-5-imidazole amide (AICA) and orotic acid (vitamin B13) in gastrointestinal fluid. AICA is a purine precursor. Equimolecular salts enable AICA to smoothly bind to liver cell nucleic acids, prevent liver parenchymal cell necrosis and stimulate liver cell regeneration, do not cause imbalance in nucleic acid metabolism, and correct abnormal protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism. It can prevent the development of liver fibrosis in acute liver damage. It has strong anti-fatty liver activity. The use of this product in patients with ascites can increase the patient's urine output and reduce ascites. Orotic acid is a pyrimidine precursor. It has been clinically proven that it can enhance the patient's appetite and improve general symptoms. It is particularly effective in improving serum protein blood counts, and can rapidly improve indicators such as jaundice index, aminotransferase, bromophenolphthalein, musk turbidity, and zinc turbidity. In addition, this product can improve the digestion and absorption of fat and promote the absorption of vitamins A and K. The drug was intraperitoneally administered to 40 mice, and the LD50 was calculated by the Crown method to be 703.0 mg/kg, with an average confidence limit of 591-815 mg/kg (P=0.05). No significant difference in teratogenesis was found in rabbits, mice, and rats after gavage for 6 consecutive months.

The content of 4-amino-5-imidazolecarboxamide orotate (C9H10N6O52H2O) in this product should be 93.0% to 107.0% of the labeled amount.

This product is a sugar-coated tablet, which appears white or off-white after removing the sugar coating.

Used for adjuvant treatment of acute and chronic hepatitis, fatty liver and cirrhosis, and to relieve the symptoms of alcoholic hepatitis.

Oral administration: 0.2g at a time, 3 times a day, one course of treatment for one month, generally 2-3 courses of treatment are required; for severe cases, the dosage can be increased to 0.6-0.8g at a time.

Occasionally, there may be gastrointestinal discomfort and nausea.
