Pidotimod Tablets

Pidotimod is an immunostimulant that can promote both nonspecific and specific immune responses. Pidotimod can promote the phagocytic activity of macrophages and neutrophils and improve their chemotaxis; activate natural killer cells; promote lymphocyte proliferation caused by mitogens, increase the ratio of helper T cells (CD4) to suppressor T cells (CD8) that is reduced when immune function is low and return to normal; and promote cellular immune response by stimulating interleukin-2 and gamma-interferon. Animal experiments and clinical trials have shown that although pidotimod has no direct antibacterial and antiviral activity, it can play a significant role in the treatment of bacterial (pneumococcal, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, etc.) and viral (influenza virus, herpes simplex virus, murine encephalomyocarditis virus and Mongo virus, etc.) infections by promoting the body's immune function.

Adults: Acute medication: Oral. For the first two weeks, 0.8g (2 tablets) each time, twice a day, then reduce to 0.8g (2 tablets) each time, once a day, or as directed by a doctor. Preventive medication: Oral. 0.8g (2 tablets) each time, once a day, for 60 consecutive days or as directed by a doctor. Children: Acute medication: Oral. For the first two weeks, 0.4g (1 tablet) each time, twice a day, then reduce to 0.4g (1 tablet) each time, once a day. For 60 consecutive days or as directed by a doctor. Preventive medication: Oral. 0.4g (1 tablet) each time, once a day, for 60 consecutive days or as directed by a doctor.
