Tetracycline hydrochloride and cortisone acetate eye ointment
Function and Efficacy
This product is a compound preparation of broad-spectrum antibiotics and adrenocortical hormones. It has bactericidal and anti-allergic effects. Many rickettsia, mycoplasma, chlamydia, and spirochetes are sensitive to tetracycline, and enterococci are resistant to tetracycline. This product has a certain antibacterial activity against Neisseria gonorrhoeae, but penicillin-resistant gonococci are also resistant to tetracycline. Due to the widespread use of tetracyclines over the years, common clinical pathogens are seriously resistant to tetracycline, including gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus and most Enterobacteriaceae. The mechanism of action of tetracycline is that the drug can specifically bind to the A position of the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, inhibit the growth of the peptide chain and affect the synthesis of bacterial proteins. Cortisone acetate has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects, can inhibit the proliferation of connective tissue, reduce the permeability of capillary walls and cell membranes, reduce inflammatory exudate, and inhibit the formation and release of histamine and other toxic substances.
Ingredients
This product is a compound preparation, containing 2,500 units of tetracycline and 2.5 mg of cortisone acetate per 1g.
