Indication
1. Used for the prevention and treatment of hypophosphatemia. It is also used as a phosphorus additive in total intravenous hypernutrient therapy to prevent hypophosphatemia. 2. As an auxiliary medication for urinary tract infection, this drug can acidify urine, thereby enhancing the antibacterial activity of methenamine mandelate and methenamine hippurate, and can eliminate the odor and turbidity of ammonia-containing urine during urinary tract infection. 3. Prevention of calcium-containing kidney stones. This drug can acidify urine, increase the solubility of calcium, and prevent calcium deposition in urine, thereby preventing the recurrence of calcium-containing kidney stones. 4. Treatment of hypercalcemia. In recent years, this drug has not been commonly used to treat hypercalcemia, and other safer and more effective methods have been used.
