Anisodamine Hydrobromide Tablets

Function and Efficacy

This product is an alkaloid isolated from the Solanaceae plant Scopolamine tangutica. The commonly used clinical preparation is synthetic scopolamine hydrobromide. This product is an anticholinergic drug that acts on M-cholinergic receptors. It has obvious peripheral anticholinergic effects, similar to or slightly weaker than atropine. It can relax smooth muscles and relieve microvascular spasms, so it has analgesic and microcirculation improvement effects. Its effect of dilating pupils and inhibiting glandular secretion is 1/20-1/10 of atropine. Because it cannot pass through the blood-brain barrier, its central effect is weak. Compared with atropine, it has the advantages of higher selectivity and lower toxic side effects. Its toxicological effects in humans are still unclear.
