Estriol suppository

Estriol is a metabolite of estradiol in the body and is a natural estrogen that mainly exists in urine. Its effect is weaker than that of estradiol. It mainly acts on the vulva and cervix, causing the vaginal epithelium to proliferate and thicken and restore the physiological pH value of the vagina, which is beneficial for the treatment of urogenital atrophy and atrophic vaginitis caused by estrogen deficiency after menopause.

The main ingredient of this product is estriol

This product is a white bullet-shaped suppository made of a water-soluble base.

This product is suitable for the treatment of urogenital atrophy and atrophic vaginitis (i.e. senile vaginitis) caused by estrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women, which manifests as dryness of the vulva or vagina, itching, burning, abnormal vaginal discharge, pain during sexual intercourse, or frequent urination, urgency, and incontinence.

Vaginal insertion: Wash your hands and vulva before going to bed at night, remove the outer packaging of the medicine, take out the suppository, and gently push the medicine deep into the vagina with your fingers. The commonly recommended dose is 2 mg per day, for one week of continuous treatment, and then place 1 tablet per week for maintenance or follow the doctor's advice. The dosage and interval time of the medicine can be increased or decreased as appropriate according to individual differences.

In the early stages of medication, some patients may experience mild breast swelling, lower abdominal distension, or vaginal burning. These reactions disappear on their own over time and generally do not require treatment.

Breast cancer or genital tract malignancies; estrogen-dependent tumors such as endometrial cancer; unexplained vaginal bleeding; thrombophlebitis; thromboembolic disease.

Precautions during pregnancy and lactation: Contraindicated for use by women who are known or suspected to be pregnant or lactating.
