Probucol tablets

This product is a blood lipid regulating drug and has anti-atherosclerotic effects. Its lipid-lowering effect is to reduce blood cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein by reducing cholesterol synthesis and promoting cholesterol decomposition. It also changes the properties and functions of high-density lipoprotein subtypes to reduce blood high-density lipoprotein cholesterol. The clinical significance of its lowering of blood high-density lipoprotein cholesterol is unclear. This product has little effect on blood triglycerides. This product has a significant antioxidant effect, can inhibit the formation of foam cells, delay the formation of atherosclerotic plaques, and eliminate the formed atherosclerotic plaques. Existing studies have not found that this product has carcinogenic or mutagenic effects.

This product is a film-coated tablet, which appears white or off-white after removing the coating.

Used to treat hypercholesterolemia.

The usual dosage for adults is 0.5g each time, twice a day, taken at breakfast and dinner.

1. The most common adverse reactions of this product are gastrointestinal discomfort, with an incidence of diarrhea of about 10%, as well as flatulence, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. 2. Other rare reactions include: headache, dizziness, paresthesia, insomnia, tinnitus, rash, skin itching, etc. 3. Allergic reactions such as angioedema have been reported. 4. Rare and serious adverse reactions include: prolonged Q-T interval of electrocardiogram, ventricular tachycardia, thrombocytopenia, etc.

This product may cause QT interval prolongation and severe ventricular arrhythmias on the electrocardiogram, so it should not be used in the following situations: ① Recent myocardial damage, such as recent myocardial infarction; ② Severe ventricular arrhythmias, such as bradycardia; ③ Cardiogenic syncope or unexplained syncope; ④ QT interval prolongation; ⑤ Responding to drugs that prolong the QT interval; ⑥ Low blood potassium or blood magnesium.

Precautions for children: The safety of this product in children is unknown, so it should not be used. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: The safety of this product during pregnancy is unknown, and it is unclear whether it is excreted into breast milk, so it is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: The dose of this product should be reduced when renal function is impaired. This product is used for elderly people over 65 years old, and its effect of lowering cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is more significant than that of younger patients.

When this product is used in combination with drugs that can cause arrhythmias, such as tricyclic antidepressants, antiarrhythmic drugs and phenothiazines, attention should be paid to the increased risk of adverse reactions. 2. This product can enhance the anticoagulant effect of coumarin drugs. 3. This product can enhance the effect of hypoglycemic drugs. 4. When this product is used in combination with cyclosporine, it can significantly reduce the latter's blood drug concentration compared to taking cyclosporine alone.
