Terfenadine Capsules

Pharmacology: This product is a specific H1 receptor blocker. At an effective antihistamine dose, this product and its metabolites are not easy to pass through the blood-brain barrier, so they rarely have central nervous system inhibitory effects.

The main ingredient of this product and its chemical name is terfenadine, and its chemical name is alpha;-(p-tert-butylphenyl)-4-(hydroxydiphenylmethyl)-1-piperidinol.

The content of this product is white or off-white powder.

Seasonal allergic rhinitis, perennial allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic urticaria, etc.

Oral administration. Adults and those over 12 years old: 60 mg once, twice a day; Children 6-12 years old: 30 mg once, twice a day, or as directed by a doctor.

1. Cardiovascular system: According to foreign literature reports, the following adverse reactions are rare, such as ventricular arrhythmia, torsades de pointes, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, cardiac arrest, hypotension, atrial flutter, syncope, dizziness, QT interval prolongation, etc. Most of the above reactions are caused by drug interactions; 2. Central nervous system: such as headache, dizziness, fatigue, etc.; 3. Gastrointestinal system: abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, increased appetite, changes in bowel habits, etc.; 4. Others: dry mouth, dry nose, dry throat, rash, etc.

Patients with obvious liver damage; patients with organic heart disease, especially atrioventricular block, congenital long QT syndrome; patients who are allergic to this product.
