Diflunisal Tablets

This product is a salicylic acid derivative and a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. Its mechanism may be the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

The main ingredient of this product is diflunisal, whose chemical name is: 2',4'difluoro-4-hydroxy[1,1'-diphenyl]-3-carboxylic acid.

This product is a film-coated tablet, which appears white or off-white after removing the film coating.

Suitable for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and various mild and moderate pains.

Take orally after meals. For adults, take 0.5g twice a day, or as directed by a doctor. The daily maintenance dose should not exceed 1.5g.

1. Gastrointestinal reactions: Some patients experience nausea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, bloating, constipation and diarrhea; 2. Central nervous system reactions: Generally rarely occur, mainly including dizziness, headache, drowsiness, insomnia, the symptoms are mild, and treatment interruption is rarely required; 3. Rashes, edema, rhinitis, and transient visual impairment are occasionally seen.

It is contraindicated for patients with active peptic ulcers, allergy to acetylsalicylic acid, women, heart failure, severe liver or kidney damage, hypertension or a tendency to fluid retention.

1. This product can prolong the prothrombin time when taken with oral anticoagulants, so it should be used with caution, and the prothrombin time should be monitored and the oral anticoagulant dosage should be adjusted appropriately; 2. When taken with indomethacin, it can reduce the kidney's clearance of indomethacin and significantly increase its plasma level, which can cause severe gastrointestinal bleeding, so it should not be used at the same time. When this product is used with naproxen, it can significantly reduce the excretion of naproxen and its metabolites in urine. Therefore, this product should not be used simultaneously with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; 3. When taken with hydrochlorothiazide, it can significantly increase the latter's plasma level; 4. When used in combination with cyclosporine, it can increase the renal toxicity of cyclosporine, so renal function should be monitored.
